Policies and Procedures: Disclosure Rules

Purpose

The Williamsburg Players is a 501(c)(3) corporation. As such it intends to obey all applicable Federal and State laws, including the Federal Quid Pro guidelines, to the best of its ability as an all-volunteer organization. Where it is legal, the Players will attempt to protect the privacy of any person who requests it; e.g., we do not share mailing lists with any other organization.

Policies

  1. At a minimum, The Williamsburg Players will provide a written acknowledgement for any single contribution of $20 or more.
  2. By law, large donors have to be reported to the IRS; a donor will be listed on those reports only if it is required by law.
 
  1. At a minimum, The Williamsburg Players will provide a written receipt to donors who makes a non-monetary contribution, but does not providea monetary value.
  2. Federal 990 return statements can be obtained through GuideStar.
  3. The Players will make available its Annual Report to the membership for at least 3 years on its web pages.
