Welcome to station WTTY on a day in late 1948. The program manager, music director, announcer, sound man and actors have been joined by one mischievous little girl for a schedule that includes a western melodrama, a news program, a song countdown, a suspense thriller, a comedy panel show, and the conclusion of a serial mystery. The team is ready to push products with catchy period jingles and our foley man is standing by to generate hundreds of live sound effects on stage. They're ready for everything but their own bickering and dysfunction, a series of screwball mistakes that leads to a last act crack-up in "Mayhem on the Air."

You’re in the audience for the recording of a live 1940s radio variety program with suspenseful radio drama, live songs, news, comedy, and vintage ads, all with sound effects that are created live on stage by a foley artist.
