The History of Williamsburg Players
Williamsburg Players was founded in 1957 debuting with the first production in January 1957 of "Teahouse of the August Moon" (directed by Arthur Sircom).

For our first nineteen seasons, Williamsburg Players performances were located wherever a venue could be found. For the 1976-77 season, Williamsburg Players moved into the current permanent address at 200 Hubbard Lane with the performance space and stage contained within what is now the lobby. The 2011-12 season opened with the debut of the current larger performance space (290+ seats).
