Alcohol and Drug Policy

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to insure that there is no use of alcohol, illegal drugs, or other, illegal mind altering substances legal or illegal, in the theater, except for the functions specified below.

 

Policies

Violations of this policy is contrary to the best interests of the organization.

  1. There will be no use or possession of illegal drugs or mind-altering substances on Players property at any time. (Board, Sept. 17, 1986)
  2. Alcohol is prohibited except for events that have been pre-approved to include alcohol: the Premier Opening Night Party, the Cast Party and any performance time block.
  3. Concessions can sell/serve wine and beer at any adult performance, in conformance with our ABC license. Under no circumstances will those under 21 serve or be served alcohol.
  4. The Board reserves the right to have offenders removed from the premises as a violation of this policy. For a cast party, a decision to remove an offender can be made by: a member of the Board, the director, the production manager, or the stage manager.
