Sex Offenders

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to state that sex offenders are prohibited from participating in all Williamsburg Players activities.

Policies

If a person is listed in Virginia's Sex Offender and Crimes against Minors Registry (or related registry) or are pending charges related to such crimes, then they are not eligible to audition for or participate in a Williamsburg Players production or volunteer in any capacity for the Williamsburg Players. Eligibility of those accused of but not charged of such crimes is at the discretion of the board.

This policy does not prevent such persons from attending shows as a patron through normal ticket purchase, though the board may ban specific individuals from attending shows as a patron at their discretion if circumstances warrant such measures.
